District sells second set of Measure A Bonds
West Kern Community College District made a personal visit to San Francisco to help negotiate favorable rates for Bond sales. The trip was completed in Nov. 06 and $12.5 million were sold. A favorable rate was obtained by demonstrating the stable and positive view of the District Financial position.
In total, Measure A provides for $39 million new facilities and modernizations at the Taft College campus. Within 15 years the district intends to complete the entire sale of bonds.
